Keep an eye out for fringe-eared oryx, giraffe, the resident warthog, stealthy cats that visit at night, and, if you are lucky, some of Africa’s largest tusked elephants. ol Donyo Lodge is situated in the Chyulu Hills of southern Kenya.

This nervous black-backed jackal really wants a drink - there’s just one small problem: the elephants are already there. After cautiously edging closer, the jackal finally works up the courage to grab a quick drink. It doesn’t last long. One elephant sends a spray of water in its direction and the jackal decides that’s quite enough bravery for one day.
